The Marstek Smart Back-up Box DB63S is the critical link between the power grid, your home, and your energy storage system. This advanced Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) ensures that your household switches to backup power from your batteries within < 1 second during a power outage. Specifically designed for single-phase systems, the DB63S offers a safe pass-through current of up to 40A, keeping critical equipment such as refrigerators, lighting, and internet routers running without interruption.

Intelligent Energy Management

The DB63S acts as the traffic controller for your energy flows. In On-Grid mode, the system supplies power to your loads while simultaneously charging the connected Venus batteries. If the grid fails, the Off-Grid mode immediately activates the backup power supply. Additionally, the unit features a physical bypass switch, allowing you to safely isolate the system for maintenance without interrupting the power supply to your home.

Which systems are compatible with the DB63S?
The DB63S is specifically designed for Single-phase households and works seamlessly with the Marstek Venus Series energy storage systems. The system supports parallel expansion, allowing you to link multiple Venus units for increased capacity.
How does the Bypass function work?
The unit features a manual bypass switch. In the event of a battery fault or during maintenance, you can toggle the switch to 'Bypass'. This routes power directly from the grid to your devices, while the Venus system is completely isolated for safe inspection or replacement.
Installation and Safety
The Smart Box has an IP20 rating and is suitable for indoor installation (wall-mounted). The system uses natural convection cooling (no noisy fans). Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical standards.
