1. Selective Optimization (TS4-A-O)

Unlike other systems, Tigo does not require an optimizer on every panel. Install the TS4-A-O only on shaded panels to restore string performance. The system works universally with inverters from Solis and GoodWe.

2. Monitoring & Communication Kit (CCA + TAP)

To monitor your panels at the module level and activate the Rapid Shutdown safety feature, the Tigo communication set is required. This consists of:

  • CCA (Cloud Connect Advanced): The data logger that collects all data and connects to the internet.
  • TAP (Tigo Access Point): The antenna that communicates wirelessly with the optimizers on the roof.

Without this kit, the optimizers will function, but you cannot view data via the Tigo app.

Do I need an optimizer on every panel?

No. You only install them on panels affected by shade or with a different orientation. The rest of the panels function normally without an optimizer.

What is Rapid Shutdown?

This is a critical safety feature that immediately drops the roof voltage to a safe level (1V per module) in emergencies. The CCA+TAP kit is required for this.

Can I see yield per panel?

Yes, if you install the Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA), you get full insight into the performance of each individual optimized panel via the Tigo Intelligence Platform.
