What is the difference between a hybrid and standard GoodWe inverter?

A hybrid GoodWe inverter (such as the ET, EH, ES or EM series) can directly control a home battery for energy storage and features an integrated charge controller (BMS interface). A standard inverter (such as the DNS or MS series) is solely intended for converting solar energy into AC power and feeding it into the grid — without battery storage.

Are GoodWe inverters suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes. Thanks to the IP65 protection rating, GoodWe inverters are fully resistant to dust and water jets, making them safe for outdoor installation. For installations in particularly humid or salty environments (such as coastal areas), it is recommended to mount the inverter in a sheltered location.
