The Solis S6-EH1P3K-L-PLUS is a single-phase hybrid inverter with a rated AC output of 3 kW, designed for residential energy storage with 48V Low Voltage batteries. The inverter features two independent MPPT inputs with a maximum input current of 16A each, suitable for modern 182mm solar panels and installations with multiple roof orientations. The backup output switches in less than 4 ms upon grid failure. The system supports generator connection, AC coupling of existing PV inverters and parallel operation of up to 6 inverters for microgrid applications. Battery communication is via CAN or RS485.

Energy management with 3 kW backup and generator support (Solis)

The S6-EH1P3K-L-PLUS acts as a central energy hub switching between grid, PV, battery, generator and backup loads. In self-consumption mode, PV power takes priority over battery and grid. Upon grid failure, the inverter switches to the backup output in less than 4 ms. The Smart Port supports three configurations: generator input, AC coupling of an existing PV inverter or Smart Load output for intelligent load control. Export limitation and Time-of-Use settings are configurable via the 7-inch LCD display or the Soliscloud app via Bluetooth.

The inverter is compatible with 48V Low Voltage Li-ion and lead-acid batteries from brands including Dyness, Pylontech and BYD. Verify the exact battery model, BMS version and communication cable via the official Solis Battery Matching Compatibility List before commissioning.

Please note: the backup output must not be connected to the public grid. Size the backup groups based on continuous power (3 kW), peak power (200% for 10 seconds) and inrush currents of inductive loads. Use a two-pole 100A circuit breaker for the AC connection (Type C, Icc minimum 20 kA). Installation by certified electricians only, in accordance with applicable national standards.
