When exactly do I need this top cover?
You only need this part for "Side-by-Side" configurations. This occurs when you use more than three battery modules (15 kWh) or if your ceiling height is limited, requiring you to place the batteries in two separate columns. While the main column is capped by the inverter, every additional column needs this cover to protect the top connections.
Is the cover fully waterproof for outdoor use?
Yes. In combination with the Anker Solix X1 battery modules, this cover guarantees an IP66 protection rating. It reliably protects the internal electrical contacts of the top battery module from rain, dust, and moisture, which is essential for a safe outdoor installation.
Can I install the cover myself?
The cover is designed for easy assembly. however, since it is part of a high-voltage system, we always recommend having the installation performed by the certified professional who is configuring your overall Solix system.
