What is included in the package?
The BYD Battery-Box HVS+ 10.2 set comes with everything needed for the battery tower structure:
- 1x BCU (Battery Control Unit) including Base.
- 4x HVS+ Battery Modules (2.56 kWh each).
- 2x Power cable connectors for BCU.
- 1x Terminal resistor.
- 2x Wall hangers (Hanger 1 & Hanger 2) for stability.
- Mounting hardware (screws, anchors).
- Documentation (Quick Start Guide).
- Note: DC power cables to the inverter are not included and should be sourced locally (6mm² or 10mm²).
Which inverters are compatible?
The HVS+ series features extensive compatibility with major high-voltage hybrid inverters. For the best experience, we recommend:
- Solis: S6-EH3P Series.
- GoodWe: ET Series (15-30kW) & ET G2.
- Also compatible with Fronius (Gen24 Plus), Kostal (Plenticore), and KACO.

Is the system expandable?
Yes, the HVS+ system is highly modular. You can expand this 10.2 system by stacking one additional HVS+ module to reach 12.8 kWh in a single tower. For even larger capacity, up to 3 towers can be connected in parallel, reaching a maximum of 38.4 kWh. Expansion allows you to start small and grow your storage as your energy needs increase.
What about safety and certification?
The BYD Battery-Box HVS+ uses Cobalt-free Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry, known for its high thermal stability and safety. The system is IP55 rated for protection against dust and water jets. It holds major international certifications including VDE2510-50, IEC62619, CE, and UN38.3, ensuring it meets the highest global safety standards.
Can I use this for Off-Grid applications?
Yes, the BYD HVS+ is capable of Off-Grid operation, provided it is paired with a compatible inverter that supports Off-Grid functionality (such as select models from GoodWe or Solis). This makes it an excellent choice for remote locations or ensuring power supply during grid outages.
