The BYD Battery-Box HVS+ 5.12kWh sets the standard for high-performance residential energy storage. Utilizing a true high-voltage series connection, this system achieves a nominal voltage of 204.8V, ensuring superior roundtrip efficiency (≥95%) compared to low-voltage alternatives. The patented internal plug design eliminates the need for internal wiring, making installation quick and error-free.

This base configuration includes two HVS+ battery modules and the Battery Control Unit (BCU). The system is built for flexibility: users can start with 5.12kWh and expand capacity later by simply stacking additional modules (up to 12.8kWh per tower). For larger energy demands, up to three towers can be connected in parallel, offering a massive 38.4kWh capacity. Whether for self-consumption optimization or backup power, the HVS+ is engineered for reliability.

Note: The HVS+ series is not compatible with the older HVS modules within the same tower. Ensure you are mixing HVS+ modules with an HVS+ BCU only.

Which inverters are compatible?
The HVS+ system is designed for broad compatibility with leading high-voltage inverters. We highly recommend pairing it with Solis S6 or GoodWe ET/EH hybrid inverters available in our store. Additionally, the system is certified for use with Fronius (Gen24), Kostal (Plenticore), and Kaco. Always verify the specific model and firmware requirements in the "Compatible Inverter List" linked above.
Is the system expandable?
Yes, the modular architecture allows for easy expansion. This 5.12kWh setup uses 2 modules. You can add up to 3 more modules to this single tower (reaching 12.8kWh). Furthermore, up to 3 towers can be connected in parallel for a total system capacity of 38.4kWh. The built-in balancing optimizer allows new modules to be added to an existing system at any time without SoC matching issues.
Is this battery suitable for Time-of-Use tariffs?
Certainly. The BYD HVS+ is an excellent choice for Time-of-Use (ToU) or dynamic energy tariffs. With its high cycle life (>6000 cycles) and efficient high-voltage architecture, it can be programmed (via the inverter) to charge from the grid during off-peak hours (low prices) and discharge during peak hours, significantly reducing your energy bill.
What are the safety specifications?
The BYD Battery-Box HVS+ adheres to the highest safety standards. It utilizes Cobalt-free Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, known for its thermal stability. The system is rigorously tested and certified according to VDE2510-50, IEC62619, CE, and UKCA standards.
