  • Solis: S6 Series High Voltage Hybrid Inverters.
  • GoodWe: ET series (15-30kW) and ET G2 series.

Always check the official compatibility list for the latest firmware requirements.

Is the HVS+ 7.7 expandable?

Yes, the system is highly flexible. You can expand the HVS+ 7.7 (which consists of 3 modules) up to a maximum of 5 modules in a single tower, resulting in a capacity of 12.8 kWh. Additionally, up to 3 identical towers can be connected in parallel for a total capacity of 38.4 kWh.

How safe is this system and where can it be installed?

Safety is at the core of BYD's design. The system uses LiFePO4 chemistry, which is thermally more stable than NMC batteries. The enclosure is IP55 rated, allowing for installation both indoors and outdoors (sheltered). The system complies with strict standards, including VDE2510-50, IEC62619, CE, and UN38.3.

Is this battery suitable for Time-of-Use / Dynamic pricing contracts?

Absolutely. The BYD HVS+ is perfectly suited for dynamic energy contracts. Due to its high voltage architecture and high C-rate capability, the system can quickly respond to price signals—charging from the grid when prices are low and discharging during peak price periods. This significantly improves the ROI of your energy system beyond just self-consumption.
