BYD HVS+ Module: Advanced High-Voltage Storage

The BYD Battery-Box HVS+ 2.56 kWh module sets the standard for modular energy storage systems. Designed as the core component for HVS+ towers (stackable from 2 to 5 modules), each unit delivers a nominal voltage of 102.4V. The patented internal plug connection eliminates the need for cable wiring between modules, ensuring a streamlined and error-free installation process.

Built with cobalt-free Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry, this module offers superior thermal stability and longevity. Certified to global standards including VDE2510-50 and IEC62619, the HVS+ series is engineered for high-performance applications. Compatible with leading single and three-phase inverters from Solis, GoodWe, Fronius, and SMA, it provides a robust solution for backup power and self-consumption optimization.

What is included in the package?

According to the 'Packing List' in the manual, you will receive:

  • 1x HVS+ Battery Module (2.56 kWh).
  • 2x Screws M5*10 (for securing modules together).
  • Documentation (MSDS, EU declaration of conformity).

Please note: The BCU (Battery Control Unit) and Base are sold separately.

Which inverters are compatible with HVS+?
The BYD HVS+ series is designed for High Voltage hybrid inverters. We recommend the following brands from our range:
  • Solis: S6-EH3P series.
  • GoodWe: ET (15-30kW) and ET G2 series.
  • Fronius: Symo Gen24 Plus.
  • Kostal: Plenticore Plus / G3.

Is this battery suitable for Time-of-Use (ToU) tariffs?
Yes, definitely. The high cycle life (>6000 cycles) and efficient round-trip capability make the BYD HVS+ system perfect for dynamic energy contracts. You can charge the battery when grid prices are low and discharge it during peak pricing hours, effectively reducing your energy bill. The system's rapid response time also supports grid services and frequency regulation where applicable.
How expandable is the system?
The HVS+ offers exceptional flexibility ("Extend anytime"). You can add modules to an existing tower at any time (up to 5 modules / 12.8 kWh per tower). The internal BMS automatically balances the State of Charge (SOC) between the new and existing modules. Furthermore, you can connect up to 3 towers in parallel for a maximum capacity of 38.4 kWh.
