The BYD Battery-Box Premium LVS 24.0 is the maximum single-tower configuration of the LVS series: six stacked LFP battery modules at 51.2 V nominal deliver 24 kWh of usable storage capacity in a single compact tower. The system includes a PDU (Power Distribution Unit), the Base and the integrated BMU (Battery Management Unit). Thanks to the patented internal plug system, all six modules are stacked without additional wiring. Further capacity expansion is achieved by connecting additional towers in parallel — up to 256 kWh total. With 250 A continuous and 360 A peak discharge current, this system is ideally suited to demanding emergency backup, off-grid and semi-commercial applications. Compatible with leading single-phase and three-phase inverters from GoodWe, Solis, Victron Energy and SMA.

Maximum Single-Tower Capacity – Scalable to 256 kWh
The LVS 24.0 represents the maximum capacity within a single LVS tower. Further expansion is achieved exclusively by connecting additional towers in parallel: up to 64 modules (256 kWh) in total. Each additional tower adds 24 kWh and 250 A discharge current, allowing the system to scale linearly for larger residential or commercial projects. The system supports on-grid self-consumption optimisation, on-grid with backup function, and full off-grid operation via CAN or RS485 communication. Operating temperature: −10 °C to +50 °C (charge derating applies between −10 °C and +5 °C).
Not included: The BYD DC connection set for the LVS PDU (35–50 mm² connector set) — consisting of DC connectors, metal terminals, rubber cores, O-rings, claws and caps — and the battery cables to the inverter (2 × 35/50 mm² with M8 cable lugs, approx. 2 m) must be ordered separately.

The BYD Battery-Box Premium LVS 24.0 is a 48V Low-Voltage battery system communicating via CAN or RS485, compatible with leading single-phase and three-phase inverters, including:

Can I expand the LVS 24.0 further?
The LVS 24.0 is the maximum single-tower configuration (6 modules = 24 kWh). Further expansion is possible exclusively by connecting additional towers in parallel:
- Each additional LVS 24.0 tower adds 24 kWh and 250 A discharge current.
- Up to 64 modules total (256 kWh) in parallel — ideal for larger residential or light commercial installations.
Parallel configuration requires appropriate cabling and a compatible inverter supporting multiple battery strings. Refer to the installation manual for full details.
Does this battery help avoid feed-in costs?
Yes. By storing surplus solar energy in the LVS 24.0 and consuming it yourself later, you significantly increase your self-consumption rate, reducing feed-in to the grid and associated costs. With 24 kWh capacity, you can also bridge several cloudy days or periods of elevated consumption. Combined with a compatible inverter, the system also supports time-of-use (TOU) scheduling for maximum savings on your energy bill.
