The BYD Battery-Box HVB 17.8 is a high-capacity energy storage system, designed for large households, heat pump owners, and small commercial applications. With a usable capacity of 17.82 kWh and a system voltage of 307 V, this configuration delivers maximum performance and efficiency.
This system consists of six stacked battery modules featuring patented Blade Battery technology (LiFePO4). This ensures not only the highest safety standard on the market but also an unprecedented lifespan, backed by a 15-year factory warranty.

Which inverters is this system compatible with?
BYD Battery-Box HVB systems work seamlessly with leading 3-phase hybrid inverters. We recommend:
- Solis: Full hybrid support and communication.
- GoodWe: Excellent integration with ET/EH series.
- Other brands: Fronius, SMA, Kostal (please always check the latest compatibility list below).
What about the warranty?

Is this battery suitable for Time-of-Use tariffs?
Absolutely. With almost 18 kWh of storage, you can achieve a very high percentage of self-sufficiency even with high consumption (like a heat pump or EV). In winter and dark days, you can smartly use the battery to trade on the imbalance market (dynamic contracts), significantly shortening the payback period.
