The BYD Battery-Box HVB Battery Module (2.97 kWh) is the original expansion module for your BYD HVB energy system. Thanks to the modular design, you can simply click this module onto your existing tower to increase storage capacity. Each module adds 2.97 kWh to your system, with a maximum of 10 modules per tower (29.6 kWh).

This module utilizes the patented BYD Blade Battery (LiFePO4) technology, guaranteeing the highest safety standard in the market and an extremely long lifespan. The robust IP55 enclosure allows for installation in garages or outdoor areas.

What is in the box?

  • Note: This is only the module, no BCU (control unit) or base plate.
To how many modules can I expand?

A single HVB tower supports a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 modules. This means a capacity between 5.9 kWh and 29.6 kWh. Please always check if your inverter supports the increased voltage (view compatibility list).

Does the warranty apply to single modules?

Yes, individual expansion modules are also covered by the industry-leading conditions. View the official Warranty Letter for details on the 15-year warranty.

Is scaling up beneficial for my ROI?

Absolutely. By adding a module, you increase your capacity to store more solar energy for evening use. This maximizes your self-consumption and allows for better optimization with Time-of-Use tariffs.
