The Dyness Stack 280 HV Battery Module (model S51280) is a high-voltage LiFePO4 battery module with a nominal capacity of 14.34 kWh (13.62 kWh usable) per module. The module operates at a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and forms part of the modular STACK280 system. By connecting 3 to 15 modules in series, a system voltage of 134 to 876 V is achieved. Up to 12 clusters can be connected in parallel for greater capacity. The module requires a separate Dyness Stack 280 BDU & Base control unit for operation.

Technical notes for installers

The Stack 280 HV Battery Module is suitable for indoor use only (IP20). Each module weighs 110 kg and has dimensions of 770 × 425 × 230.5 mm; installation requires at least two people. When installing more than 5 modules in series, use of a crane or lifting equipment is recommended. A full stack of 8 modules + BDU reaches a height of approximately 2208 mm; a minimum clearance of 450 mm above the system is required (floor to ceiling ≥ 2658 mm). If installing on an upper floor, a professional assessment of the floor's load-bearing capacity is mandatory. Modules are stacked via locating pins and secured with four M5×30 screws on the sides. The recommended charge/discharge current is 140 A; maximum continuous current 200 A and peak current 290 A for 2 minutes at 25 °C.

Note: This product is a single battery module (Package B). The Dyness Stack 280 BDU & Base (control unit, Package A) is sold separately and is required for system operation. A minimum of 3 modules is required for a functional system. Installation must be carried out by certified electricians in accordance with national standards.

Which inverters are compatible with the Dyness Stack 280?

The STACK280 system communicates via CAN or RS485 (RJ45 connector via the BDU, pin 1 = 485_B, pin 2 = 485_A, pin 4 = CANH, pin 5 = CANL) and is compatible with the following inverters, among others: Solis, Growatt, Sosen, Solinteg, Atess, Magarevo, GoodWe (GDW), Deye, SINENG, SINEXCEL and Megarevo. What are the installation requirements for the Dyness Stack 280 HV Battery Module?

Installation must be carried out by certified electricians in accordance with national standards (e.g. BS 7671, IEC 60364). The system is suitable for indoor use only (IP20). Each module weighs 110 kg; installation requires at least two people. For more than 5 modules, a crane is recommended. A full stack of 8 modules + BDU (height ±2208 mm) requires a minimum clearance of 450 mm above the system (floor to ceiling ≥ 2658 mm). If installing on an upper floor, a professional assessment of the floor's load-bearing capacity is required. More than 8 modules must be split across two columns. Use the supplied CAN resistor (120 Ω, included in the BDU package) on the appropriate ports in parallel systems.
