The GoodWe GW3600N-EH Plus+ is a single-phase hybrid inverter with a nominal AC output power of 3600 W and a maximum PV input power of 5400 W. The unit features two independent MPPT trackers (voltage range 100–550 V), a high-voltage battery interface (85–460 V, 350 V nominal), a maximum charge and discharge current of 25 A each, and fanless natural convection cooling. The inverter is designed for PV installations with battery storage and grid feed-in within a single-phase energy storage system.

What is the GoodWe GW3600N-EH Plus+?

The GoodWe GW3600N-EH Plus+ is a hybrid inverter for solar panel installations with a high-voltage home battery. The unit converts DC current from PV panels to AC for self-consumption, grid feed-in or battery storage. Communication with the battery management system (BMS) is via RS485 or CAN. Installation is reserved for certified electricians in accordance with local grid standards.

Technical Notes for Installers

The GW3600N-EH Plus+ is designed for PV installations with coupled battery storage in a high-voltage architecture. The two MPPT trackers operate independently over a voltage range of 100 to 550 V, with a start-up voltage of 90 V and a maximum PV input voltage of 580 V. The high-voltage battery interface supports Li-Ion batteries with a nominal voltage of 350 V (range 85–460 V). The maximum charge current is 25 A at a maximum charge power of 6000 W; the maximum discharge current is 25 A at a maximum discharge power of 3600 W. BMS communication is via RS485 or CAN; the grid meter is connected via RS485. Firmware updates and monitoring are available through the GoodWe SEMS portal via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The IP65-certified enclosure is suitable for outdoor installation. Mounting is via the supplied mounting plate with expansion bolts on a surface capable of supporting 17 kg. Installation is only permitted by certified installers in accordance with BS 7671 / EN 50549 or equivalent national standard.

Important: This inverter is exclusively compatible with Li-Ion batteries with a high-voltage interface (85–460 V). Connection to low-voltage battery systems (48 V) is not possible. Installation must be carried out by a certified electrician in accordance with applicable national standards.

Which batteries are compatible with the GoodWe GW3600N-EH Plus+?

The GW3600N-EH Plus+ is compatible with high-voltage Li-Ion home batteries from Dyness, Pylontech, BYD and GoodWe. Communication with the BMS is via RS485 or CAN. The battery voltage must be within the range of 85–460 V with a nominal voltage of 350 V. Consult the manufacturer's compatibility list for specific models and firmware versions.

What are the installation requirements for the GoodWe GW3600N-EH Plus+?

Installation is only permitted by certified electricians in accordance with BS 7671, EN 50549 or equivalent national standard. The mounting surface must support 17 kg. Operating temperature –25 °C to +60 °C, maximum installation altitude 3000 m. PV input voltage must not exceed 580 V; battery voltage must be 85–460 V. AC grid connection requires 230 V / 50 Hz single-phase with a maximum export current of 16 A.
