The Dyness PowerBrick Plus 16.07 kWh is a 48V low-voltage LiFePO4 home battery with 15.27 kWh usable capacity at 95% DOD, a maximum continuous charge and discharge current of 200A and an integrated BMS with CAN/RS485 communication. The battery is the direct successor to the PowerBrick 14.3 kWh and offers higher capacity, higher charge current, an integrated aerosol fire suppression system, an active self-heating system and castors as standard. Expandable from one unit to a maximum of 50 parallel-connected units (803 kWh nominal) in accordance with Dyness system guidelines. Suitable exclusively for compatible 48V low-voltage inverters or AC-coupled battery chargers/inverters.

  • 15.27 kWh usable at 95% DOD: Nominal voltage 51.2V, capacity 314Ah. Suitable for residential self-consumption optimisation and light-commercial applications.
  • 200A continuous / 300A peak (2 min): Maximum battery power of 10.24 kW, within the limits of the connected inverter and system configuration.
  • Active self-heating system: Charging possible at ambient temperatures down to -20°C without an external heating solution.
  • Integrated aerosol fire suppression system: Built-in fire safety provision, not present in the PowerBrick 14.3 kWh.
  • Up to 50 units in parallel (803 kWh): Scalable via RJ45 communication cables in accordance with Dyness system guidelines. Previous generation maximum 16 units (228.8 kWh).
  • IP65, 10-year warranty, ≥8,000 cycles: Suitable for technical rooms, garages and sheltered outdoor locations.

48V LV storage with broad inverter compatibility and integrated safety

The PowerBrick Plus communicates via CAN or RS485 with compatible 48V low-voltage inverters. According to the official Dyness LV compatibility list (June 2026), the following inverter brands are among those validated for the PowerBrick Series: Solis, Growatt, GoodWe, Victron Energy (Multiplus/Quattro 48V), SMA, LuxPower, Deye, Hoymiles HYS-LV-EU and Ingeteam. Always verify the exact inverter model, firmware version and current compatibility list before installation.

The Solis Battery Matching Global Pamphlet (V3.3) confirms the Dyness PowerBrick Series under battery profile "Dyness LV" for the following Solis LV inverter series:

  • S6-EH1P(3–6)K-L-EU and S6-EH1P(3–10)K-L-PLUS: Single-phase, 48V LV hybrid.
  • S6-EH3P(5–18)K02-NV-YD-L: Three-phase, 48V LV hybrid.
  • S6-EA1P(3.6–6)K-L: Single-phase AC-coupled, 48V LV.
  • S5-EH1P(3–6)K-L / RHI-(3–6)K-48ES: Single-phase, 48V LV (older generation).

During commissioning, select battery profile "Dyness LV" in the Solis inverter LCD or SolisCloud settings. Not compatible with Solis HV inverters or standard string inverters without a battery connection.

Required for a complete system: The PowerBrick Plus is a 48V battery and cannot independently convert PV energy or measure the building's energy consumption. For a complete battery storage system, a compatible 48V hybrid inverter or AC-coupled battery charger/inverter is also required. For new PV installations, the battery is typically combined with a compatible hybrid inverter; when an existing PV inverter is retained, an officially supported AC-coupled battery solution can be applied. For functions such as self-consumption optimisation, power control and export limitation, the energy meter and/or CT measurement prescribed by the relevant inverter manufacturer is generally required. For certain compatible Solis systems, the Eastron SDM630MCT with CT measurement can for example be applied. Verify per inverter model which meter, CT configuration, communication cables and firmware are required.

Low-voltage system, LV inverters only: The PowerBrick Plus is a 48V LV battery (44.8V–57.6V) and may only be connected to a compatible low-voltage inverter or AC-coupled battery charger/inverter that has been validated for this battery. Connection to HV inverters or standard string inverters without a suitable battery connection is not permitted. Verify the exact inverter model, firmware version, communication mode (CAN/RS485), battery profile and required energy metering before commissioning. Installation must be carried out exclusively by qualified electrical installers in accordance with applicable installation regulations.

What do I need in addition to the Dyness PowerBrick Plus for a complete system?

The PowerBrick Plus has an integrated BMS but is not a standalone energy storage system. A compatible 48V hybrid inverter or AC-coupled battery charger/inverter is also required. For new PV installations, the battery is typically combined with a hybrid inverter; when an existing PV inverter is retained, an officially supported AC-coupled battery solution can be applied. For self-consumption optimisation, power control or export limitation, the energy meter and/or CT measurement prescribed by the inverter manufacturer is generally required. Verify per inverter model which meter, CT configuration and communication components are needed.
